Tonj County Commissioner confirms that over 50 herds of cattle have been raided in Makuei Karshit, 7 kilometres away from the main town.
Speaking to Don Bosco Radio, Peter Mading Akech says the incident happened at 2: am.
Mading says one person was wounded during the incident while 10 herds of cattle out of the 50 were collected back.
The Commissioner says Akot Riak who was wounded is under medical care in one of the government hospitals.
Mading urges the community to remain calm as the government works hard to improve the security situation.
Don Bosco Radio could not reach the owners of the cattle for comments.
