Minister calls for formation of transitional government to relief citizens’ minds

The minister of Gender Child and Social Welfare in Yei River Awate Esther stressed the need to form the transitional government in February to relieve and free minds of citizens.
 
Radio Easter quoted her mentioning that hearts of civilians in Yei are broken thinking whether the government will be formed or not.
 
Awate explained that citizens of Yei are eager to see a new government formed in February in order to plan for developmental projects which uplift the state and the whole nation.
 
The minister clarified that certain atrocities which happened in the past conflict have no direct link with the atrocities committed in the current war.
 
She said the atrocities committed during the fighting need to be looked into seriously such that revenge is discouraged to enable peace reign in the state and the country at large.
 
The Gender minister spoke during a meeting with Ceasefire and Transitional Security Arrangements, Monitoring and Verification Mechanism on Wednesday in Yei.
