The Chief of United Nations Mission in South Sudan on UNMISS, David Shearer, on Tuesday and Wau Governor Angelo Taban Biajo discussed issues facing the state.
Voice of Hope Radio quoted Shearer saying the aim of the meeting was to make sure the training goes as planned at the joint military training centers.
He disclosed that the meeting covered security situations and relationships of Wau with the neighbouring states.
Wau State Governor Taban Biajo confirmed that the state is secured at the moment, and there is no obstacle for citizens to fear.
The training is going smoothly in the training centres and the organized forces are living peaceful with one other, he revealed.
Governor Taban said the state government is committed to peace and that they are respecting their memorandum with remnants SPLM-IO forces that are still out.
He encouraged the remainder of SPLM-IO to join peace, because the country needs end of war.
The Officials made the remarks on Tuesday afternoon after their meeting at the council of ministers.
