Sudan Government and Darfur Revolutionary Front, SPLM-N of Malik Agar on Friday signed a framework agreement on security arrangements and political files.

President Salva Kiir Mayardit described the outcome as a good understanding among the groups in the Sudan peace consultations.

‘The groups that are holding out should be convinced to join you those who have signed today so that all of you come to one agreement and when you go in you go in without any doubt, that there will be somebody left behind to stab people tomorrow’, he advised.

Deputy Head of Sudan Sovereign Council, Lieutenant General Mohammad Hamdan Daglo, said the framework shows the strength and commitment of the negotiators from all groups to achieve peace to change lives of people.

‘Sudanese people in general and the Sudanese at the war zone in particular had suffered during the conflict due to lack of political instability and development’, he regretted.

Yasir Saeed Arman, on behalf of SPLM-North of Malik Agar, emphasised the need of inaugurating the army and rebuilding a new organized military and security forces.

‘The framework accord contains many issues on the rights on the lands, security arrangements and distribution of wealth’, he explained.
