One woman died, another injured in the process of fetching water from a borehole on Wednesday at Makur-panyon village in Rumbek.
The incident happened when a wooden pole covering the water source broke and the two women fell into the water.
The neck and the backbone of the deceased was found broken.
Adut Keloktuol who survived narrowly says lack of water pump led to the death of her colleague.
She appeals to both the government and NGOs to help them with hand-pumps to stop such incidence from happening again.
