At least 300 police personnel gathered on Monday at Rumbek Police Station in preparation for a unified military training expected to take place in Wau.

Speaking to Radio Good News, Police Spokesperson Captain Elijah Mabor Makuac said the forces are likely to leave on Tuesday.

He noted that the organized forces are part and parcel of the implementation of the Revitalized Peace Agreement.

Makuac urged communities to embrace peace among themselves.

The training of the unified forces is part of the security arrangements and other outstanding issues that led to 100 days extension.

The pre-transitional government of national unity is expected to be formed in February 22 this year.
