About seventy one cows and a boy that was abducted on Christmas Eve were given back to their owners.

Good News radio quotes Rumbek State Police spokesperson Elijah Mabor saying the cattle were stolen between Western Barnaam and Eastern Barnaam Counties in Western Lakes State on Wednesday.

Captain Mabor mentions that County authorities worked with the owners of the cattle and peacefully facilitate the release of the boy and the stolen animals from the raiders.

The police spokes person is urging young people to refrain from cattle raiding to avoid loss of lives and property in the state.
