The director of vocation in the Catholic Diocese of Torit Fr Arkangelo Lokoro is urging parents and guardians to love themselves and be guided by the Christians teaching.
He adds by doing so their children will emulate them when they become parents in future.
Fr Lokoro also advises parents to be good teachers to their children so as to raise good families.
‘I want to say on this day of the holy family that, parents should consider teaching their children at home very serious and you have to be like a teacher and a role model to your children so that they can emulate you’, he adds
The priest mentions that as a family listen to the word of God with attention in order to receive blessings.
‘We are celebrating the feast of holy family of Jesus Mary and Joseph. As we conclude this year family is a very important unit. Wives love your husband and husbands love your wives,’says the priest.
The priest was preaching at Sts Peter and Paul Cathedral in Torit on Sunday.
