Western Lakes Police on Friday said the Christmas celebration is peaceful in the capital, Rumbek and other parts of the state.
Police spokesman captain Elijah Mabor said peaceful celebration was a result of cooperation between police and citizens, Good News Radio reported.
Captain Mabor appreciated the public for collaborating with security forces, and urges them to continue with that spirit to simplify the work of the security organs in maintaining good safety in the state.
The Christmas festival which is one of the biggest Christians’ ceremonies is celebrated every 25th of December in remembrance of Christ birth day.
