He advised citizens not to be tempted by the situation in the country.

‘Christmas is especially a call to all of us to hope we must be people of hope we must not be people of hopelessness even though we know that something is not going on well we must have hope in God. It’s not the easy to practice but once we put ourselves to it we are able to guide that hope to protect us in front so that we may look for a better times ahead of us’, the Archbishop-elect noted.

He added that ‘we know our country make problem we are pressurize in many problem in many problem that we have here but lord Jesus Christ has come to consult us those who are in fear those who are in danger those who are afraid to death’.

Archbishop-elect Ameyu urged people to have trust and be faithful in God to stay in unity with happiness.

He adds that Christians must always stay with truth no matter situation they encountered.

‘We have trust in God we must have faith in God, remember nothing else made us only God can heal us only God can liberate us only God can give us happiness no woman can give happiness to her husband, no husband can give happiness to his wife no son will give happiness to the father or mother only Jesus Christ can give us a happiness and joy in our heart’, the Catholic prelate advised.

He appealed that ‘let us only look for the truth where the truth is where we have to go even if it is found even if it is found in unstable in a death place we must always look for that truth because God is ultimate truth’.

Meanwhile Torit State Governor Tobiolo Alberio Oromo said people of Bari community confirmed they are readily waiting to welcome Archbishop-elect Ameyu without doubt.

‘When bishop was appointed to be the Archbishop in Juba somebody wrote a letter instigating the community of Bari that the community of Bari is not happy of the appointment. Dr James Wani Igga said they all dismissed those allegations, those allegations are caused by individuals, but Bari community are very innocent, they were not part of those allegations and he strongly told me that you tell the bishop when the day is ready let him come without any fear or any doubt with the people of Bari’ he clarified.

The speakers made the remarks during Christmas at Holy Rosary church in Torit on Wednesday.
