A team from Madi community presented a congratulatory message to the newly appointed metropolitan Bishop of Juba Stephen Ameyu Martin Mulla.
According to the message read by acting community chairperson Koma John Silvester people are confident and have hope that the newly appointed archbishop will promote spiritual work of the Church amidst hardship.
‘your lordship the most Rv. Stephen Ameyu Martin Mulla, we the Madi community of Torit state congratulate you on your appointment as the metropolitan archbishop of Juba we are confident that your spiritual leadership will promote the ecumenical endeavours of the Catholic Church at this time of national distress,’ he read.
In his response to the message, Bishop Stephen Ameyu Martin Mulla appreciates the community for their confidence in him.
He adds may God’s will be done since the task ahead is big for him.
His Lordship Stephen calls the Christians to accept Christ as their personal saviour.
Stephen Ameyu was appointed as bishop of Torit on January 3rd and his consecration was in March 2019.
On December 12, he was appointed by Pope Francis as the new archbishop of Juba archdiocese.
Both archbishop Paolino and Bishop Stephen will choose the day for the new archbishop to take possession and governance of the archdiocese two months from the date of the announcement.
