A Priest in the Catholic Diocese of Torit is telling Christians to prepare and clean their hearts to receive Jesus Christ.
Radio Emmanuel reports that the assistant Parish priest of our lady of Sorrow Kapoeta Fr. Jacob Odwa calls on Christians to ask for forgiveness of their sins.
He encourages the faithful to build strong relationship with God and one another.
‘My dear brothers and sisters, the time of advent is for preparation. And there are two types of preparation, we have to prepare our hearts so that Christ and also our relationship with oneself, good relationship with others and good relationship with God,’ he explains

‘As people let us try our best and do what is good, and the rest God will cover. Even in Prison we should continue saying what is right and do what happens to us,’ he adds
The assistant Parish Priest made the statement while presiding over a mass at Torit State prison.
