We have treated cattle and sheep and goats we are treating them and even in town here we are also treating cats and dogs against rabies and even pigs,’ he adds.
Director Apari however did not mention the number of animals the ministry is targeting.
He calls for support in terms of transport in order to reach out to other areas to treat animal diseases.
‘We have a lot of challenges first of all bad roads to access all these areas. It is really impassable another challenge is mobility actually we do not have vehicles to reach far areas another challenge we actually have is limited resources in terms of finance and human resources,’ the director explains”, Apari notes.
He encourages people to take good care of their animals as they would for themselves.
‘Community leaders or whoever is in the livestock business like chicken should adhered veterinary comical health workers. Listen to their advice from veterinarian personnel, animals also have a right to sleep to have a house but you some animals do not rest enough because their owners do not take care of them. This is another factor of inviting diseases to the livestock take hygienic measures for your animals,’he explains.
