Archbishop Ameyu appoints Priests to new positions

The newly appointed Archbishop of Juba has appointed priest to new positions.
 
This is the second appointment made since his consecration in March this year.
 
According to a statement dated December 10 2019, Archbishop Stephen Ameyu Martin Mulla appoints Fr Leonsyo Omina Okwormoi as Financial Administrator of the diocese.
 
The appointment indicates that, Fr Omina will also serve as Secretary of Education.
 
The Archbishop appoints Fr Abraham Abud as Parish Priest of St John the Baptist’s Parish in Ibonni, replacing Fr Lucius Izama who has been called for renewal course.
 
Fr Kamilo Afore was assigned as Parish Priest of Sts Peter and Paul Cathedral, replacing Fr Leonsyo Omina.
 
Fr Afore will also serve as Acting Pastoral Coordinator.
 
The Archbishop assigns Fr Anthony Ubeo Gelo to be the Parish Priest of Sacred Heart Parish in Chukudum, replacing Fr Darious Arite who has also been called for renewal course.
 
He also appoints Fr Joseph Logura Dominic as Parish Priest of St Mathew’s Parish in Ikwoto.
 
Fr Jacob Odwa Paul will serve as Assistant Parish Priest of Our Lady of Sorrow Parish in Kapoeta.
 
Priests listed for renewal courses include Fr Nelson Afatio, Fr Darius Arite and Fr Lucius Izama.
 
On the other hand, Bishop Ameyu also appoints Fr Ejidio Okanyi as Director of Caritas Torit.
 
One month after his consecration in March, Archbishop Ameyu relieved Fr Arkangelo Lokoro from the position of Vicar General and replaced him with Fr John Sebit.
 
Fr Lokoro was appointed as Vocational Director and retained his position as Rector of St Mary’s Minor Seminary.
