International Medical Corps or IMC has launched a film about Gender Based Violence or GBV to raise awareness to Wau communities.
The Film launched under the theme, ‘beat drums, but not women and girls,’ was funded by UKAID.
Wau IMC Senior GBV Officer, Ceaser Lupai, says the awareness helps people on how they can prevent and address violence.
Lupai urges men to support women.
He says assessment shows that, men are the most causers of gender based violence.
Representative of the Minister of Gender, Child and Social Welfare, Lino Unango Albino appreciates IMC team.
He calls for more films to create awareness to the community.
The speakers made the remarks during the launch of the GBV film on Tuesday at the office of the Minister of Education.
