South Sudan is on December 12 expected to launch the National Humanitarian Response Plan 2020 in Juba, according to UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs or OCHA.
OCHA in a statement said the event will be spearheaded by Humanitarian Coordinator for South Sudan, Alain Noudéhou and Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Hussein Mar Nyuot.
It disclosed that the launch of the 2020 plan will be followed by an interactive panel discussion on Reaching Vulnerable Communities.
According to UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, this is one of the key themes featured in the plan.
The panel will be composed of three women and two men to ensure gender balance and reflect the perspectives of the broad range of humanitarian actors who operate in South Sudan.
It will include the national authorities, donors, national and international NGOS and the UN.
