Reconcile International on Thursday concluded a four-day peace building and reconciliation workshop for communities in Yei River State.
The four-day training brought together 45 participants from all Payams of Mukaya County including elders, religious leaders, farmers, women and some IDPs.
Joy Keji Rafael, commissioner explains that the training helped citizens of Mukaya to identify the root causes of the misunderstanding in the county.
She appreciates Reconcile International for organizing the training and appeals for continued capacity building for communities in order to develop the county.
Keji mentions that security wise Mukaya is calm and peaceful since the August incident that was reported.
She calls on NGOs to do assessment in Mukaya and support the civil population with necessary food and non-food items.
The four-day training started on Monday and concluded on Thursday at reconcile compound in Yei.
