International Organization for Migration or IOM in collaboration with the Ministry of Health in Yei River State conducts a preparedness plan for Ebola virus for 2020.
The workshop brought together commissioners from seven counties of Yei River State, health partners, media personnel, religious and community leaders, Radio Easter reports.
The training aims at identifying areas of entry from the neighboring countries to the state.
Dr. John Sebit Manya, Coordinator at Yei River State Ministry of Health, appreciates IOM for organizing the training.
Yei River County Commissioner, Justin Lokonga, describes the training as important because it is educative.
He says the preparedness plan is an effort to prevent outbreak of Ebola in South Sudan.
Commissioner Lokonga hopes the virus will not reach South Sudan.
The training which was conducted at ECSS Guest house concluded on Friday in Yei.
