The deputy governor of Yei River State is urging citizens to recognize people living with disability in their various communities.
Yusto Baba Dema commends a visually impaired musician Sebit Alex commonly known by his stage name Amplifier for disseminating messages of peace through his music.
He adds nobody is immune to disability, it may occur as a result of advancement in age or an accident.
The deputy governor encourages respect to physically challenged people in the communities.
Baba stresses that some physically impaired persons are not given the chance by their society yet they could be potential candidates to take up a leadership role.
The physically challenged also have equal potential to social, political and economic role in the community, he explains.
The Official was speaking during the International day of Persons Living with Disability at Yei freedom square on Tuesday.
