United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS Human Rights division, is appealing to the Church, to preach against Sexual Gender Based Violence.

UNMISS’ call came during the conclusion day of a workshop it organized in collaboration with the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek on Sexual Gender Base Violence.

The participants promise to end violence among communities through awareness.

Facilitator Hilma Moses encourages the participants to practice the skills they acquired and empower victims of sexual violence.

Catholic Diocese of Rumbek Coordinator Fr John Mathiang believes that the participants are well trained to go out with mission.

Fr Mathiang promises government’s effort to work hard to put an end to sexual gender base violent issues in the state and the country at large.

The three days’ training brought together 33 participants from Catholic Priests, Sisters and the youth of Rumbek Catholic Diocese.
