The Chairperson of people living with disabilities, Francis Aguek has raised concerns that those with disabilities are facing a lot of challenges.
He mentions discrimination as the major problem affecting them in the society.
Ague explains that people with disabilities are as equal as anyone. But he says they need to be given special services, especially for the visually impaired people and those who can neither speak nor hear normally.
Francis urges the government of South Sudan to consider the rights of people with disabilities in the state and the country at large.
‘We have to respect people with disabilities because it is God who created them and the destruction of mankind such as war’, he stresses
He also calls on the international organization to support and rehabilitate people with disability, especially the physically challenged.
He spoke to Don Bosco Radio on Wednesday in Tonj State.
