Minister urges citizens to recognize child’s rights in South Sudan

The Minister of Gender, Child and Social Welfare in Tonj State appeals to the people of Tonj State to recognize the rights of the child and stop all forms of violence against them.
 
The call came during the celebration of the children’s Day.
 
Gai Manyoun Maluak says children have their rights, including the right to food and education, which must be recognized by all parents and guardians, Don Bosco Radio, reports.
 
Manyoun encourages parents or guardians to love their children and give them the necessary support needed in life.
 
The Minister blames some parents for failing to protect their children, living them to move anyhow.
 
The official made the remarks in an interview with Don Bosco Radio in his office in Tonj.
