African Inland Church or AIC has on Tuesday trained women on domestic work at its hall in Torit.

Regional Women Coordinator East Bank, Keji Santa Bilton says the training aims at bringing women together to discuss and share their roles at home.

She urges women to respect and love one another to stay in a peaceful society.

‘The training is for us women circle of life. How women should stay in their residential area, what a woman should do very early in the morning. A woman must start from the house work cleaning and organizing house and how a woman dresses up and the kids and what to do at home for the kids and husbands everyday and how to stay with people in the area. A woman should love everyone at home even your husband’s relatives, a woman must have that love for all’, says Santa.

Christine Ikoi, a resident of Hai Ifwanyak in Torit town says she has learned more about tolerance and forgiveness.

She cautions citizens against hatred.

Ikoi adds that ‘The important thing we learn is forgiving one another. If anyone did something wrong to you it’s better to forgive. We are here for these training we learn a lot of things and we shall move a head implementing. We are told to forgive each other than promoting hatred and staying with problem in our hearts for good years. It is really not good. You have to forgive even though someone kills your beloved one’.

A member of African Inland Church Women’s Group, Celina Kiden, urges young girls to obey and respect their elders.

She stresses on the need to educate and take good care of the young ones.

‘What I learnt from here today is that, when your son marries at home, the wife should not ignore me because of being too old even the father of my son. Whenever he talks to the wife, let her not say this in-law is very bad. Sometimes an elder person can make a mistake, but the wife should relax. A woman must have good heart to take care of the home’, Kiden explains.

They made the statement to Radio Emmanuel on Wednesday at AIC compound in Torit on Wednesday.
