UN Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS-Human Rights Division organises three days workshop on Sexual Gender Based Violence or SGBV for church leaders in Rumbek Catholic Diocese.
The workshop aims at building the capacity of the participants to know the means of how to prevent and response to SGBV in their work places.
Speaking during the opening remarks, Diocesan Administrator Reverend John Mathiang Machol advises participants to learn skills of how to prevent the practice in their communities.
UNMISS-Human Rights Division officer, John Oziebe explains that the training will help the church leadership to be an instrument that addresses social issues.
Oziebe acknowledges the role played by Catholic Church in Lakes States in preventing SGBV and healing survivors.
The three days workshop is expected to end on Thursday 21st November 2019.
