UNMISS trains women on leadership ahead of unity government in Tonj

UNMISS department of Gender Affairs office is training women on leadership skills for good participation in the unity government expected to be formed early next year.
 
Rhoda Wasuk Primo says the training aims at bringing women and government together to train them on good governance and leadership, Don Bosco Radio reports.
 
Wasuk says the Revitalized Peace Agreement allows women to participate 100 percent in the government.
 
She urges women to aim higher to fulfil their 35 percent representation in the government.
 
Deputy Governor Santino Ding Wek, appreciates UNMISS for organizing the training to empower women on leadership.
 
Ding urges women to participate in decision making in the state and the country at large.
 
Suzanna Nyaruon Madut, women representatives expresses her gratitude to UNMISS team for organizing the training.
 
She assures UNMISS that they will put into action the skills they have acquired from the training.
 
The training brought together 30 women across the state together with some government officials in the state.
 
The officials made the remarks to Don Bosco Radio during the closing remarks on Thursday in Tonj.
