The two sections of Dinka Agaar of Rumbek known as Athuoi have finally signed peace agreement ending three months of targeted killings at Cuei Cok Payam of Western Baar Naam County on Tuesday.
Speaking after the signing ceremony, Executive Chief, Dhuol Mayom Dhuol, said the conflict has prevented many youth from cultivation to earn a living, Good News radio reports.
He calls on the two conflicting sections to implement the resolutions they have signed in order for peace to prevail in the county.
Meanwhile Paramount Chiefs of two communities Tuol Aparer Chut and Majak Agok Machol advised young people to stop fighting each other and stay as people of one county.
The chiefs argued that the conflict between youth of today creates a lot of divisions and hatred that was not there before.
The peace signing was witnessed by the governor of Western Lakes State Mahmud Solomon and all members of his cabinet.
One of the resolutions passed was to set up a competent court to try all pending cases.
