Government has paid 33 million dollars to the National Pre-transitional Commission or NPTC as a fulfillment of a pledge for security arrangement.
Speaking during the official opening of the Parliament, President Salva Kiir Mayardit says the amount paid is for the implementation of the ceasefire agreement.
The president adds the NPTC also receives support from Japan for logistical support in the cantonment sites.
He appreciates the financial support from Japan, China, EU, Egypt, Ethiopia and South Africa to the forces in the cantonment area.
President Salva Kiir says his party and most of the other parties are ready for R-TGoNU to be formed on November 12th.
Speaker Antony Lino Makana urges non signatories to the agreement to put the interest of the citizens first through dialogue.
The official were speaking during the opening of the Transitional National Legislative Assembly on Tuesday under theme;’Moving forward in the spirit of peace, unity and national building’.
