Union of Journalists of South Sudan or UJOSS, Association for Media Development in South Sudan or AMDISS, National Editors’ Forum with support from United Kingdom and UNESCO are expected on Wednesday to hold building trust symposium in Juba.
Eye Radio, Juba Monitor and Community Empowerment for Progress Organization or CEPO are among organizing bodies.
The event, under the theme: ‘Building trust in media and countering disinformation’ taking place within the context of structuring hope in the media landscape.
The deliberations are expected to address legislative issues related to online and offline freedom of expression.
The discussions will also result into development of action plans to address freedom of expression, safety and protection of journalists.
The event is also being organized in commemoration of the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes Committed against Journalists.
