Prisoners harvest more than sixty bags of groundnuts in Tonj

The Director of Tonj State Prison Services Major General Marko Awuoc Kuot on Wednesday revealed that his administration together with inmates harvested sixty-four bags of groundnuts in the prison garden.
 
He explained that before his appointment the prison was having no garden for, but at his time he and the team managed to dig for survival of prisoners, Don Bosco Radio reports.
 
Major General Marko Awuoc advised that it is better for the people of South Sudan to maintain cultivation as their first priority to fight hunger and avoid depending on humanitarian aid.
 
The Director of Tonj State Prison appeals to the entire public to refrains themselves from the politics and work hand in hands to boost food Agriculture for the betterment of human life.
 
This will be the first time for the prisoners in the state to have their own garden and harvest something for their survival.
