Over one hundred thousand IDPs still under UNMISS protections’ site

About one hundred and eighty two thousands of South Sudan population are still seeks protection at UN Camps across the Country, Bashir Allegele, UNMISS acting head of field office in Torit reports.
 
He says UNMISS is currently giving protection to more than one hundred eighty people in five South Sudan UN camps, Radio Emmanuel reports.
 
Allegele says IDPs are in dire need of humanitarian assistance.
 
He appeals on South Sudan leaders to provide security and create conducive environment to its citizens.
 
The government of South Sudan needs in those areas to provide security the main thing against the protection of civilian sites, we have about 182,000 people who are currently living in protection of civilian sites in five locations next to UN bases across the country, explains Allegele. 
 
We also foster the security of environment for the safe informed within the technical return for the relocation of IDPs and refugees. Also create conducive atmosphere for the delivery of humanitarian assistance and contributing towards coordination and creation of humanitarian and security conditions’, he adds.
 
Allegele says UNMISS is working hard ensure in the peace agreement adhere to the resolution of conflict and implementation of the signed agreement.
 
He encourages South Sudanese to support the implementation of the peace agreement for durable peace to prevail in the country.
 
The official notes that ‘the mission is to protect civilians and bring durable peace, so our cores deals in supporting the implementation of peace process at grassroots level, local conflict management, reconciliation and social coexistence’.

Allegele calls on displaced persons to come home to participate in bringing lasting peace and development.
