University of Juba in collaboration with Bahr el Ghazal University in partnership with UNDP conduct one-day peace dialogue.
Head of organizing committee Haw Margen told Voice of Hope Radio that this dialogue will be part of peace progress and trust building among Wau communities.
‘This conflict has led to negative impact in communities like lack of trust, services and youth divert to bad groups, but through dialogue we can understand ourselves and create better environment’, she explains.
Irene Lime, representative of UNDP, says the dialogue helps communities to understand themselves and create better environment.
She says ‘this dialogue can be one of the fruitful impacts to peace progress in the country’.
The peace dialogue was under the theme: ‘Strengthen community relationship and cohesion’.
Wau State Minister of Information, Awadia Yacoub Mansur on Wednesday met media houses and discussed cooperation between media outlets and the ministry.
According to Voice of Hope Radio, the purpose was to help media houses reflect good image of the state.
‘We are in time of peace, therefore we need to always send to the people the messages of peace’, the minister stressed.
She urged the media houses to reveal positive messages that can unite, but not to create hatred among the people.
The minister spoke to Voice of Hope Radio after the meeting at the Wau State Ministry of Information, Culture, Youth and Sports on Wednesday.
