The Episcopal church of South Sudan and Community Empowerment for Progress Organization are training religious leaders in Yei River State on the Revitalized Peace Agreement.
According to Radio Easter, the three-day workshop in partnership with the Reconstituted Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission is to disseminate the accord in Yei.
Speaking at the opening, Archbishop Moses Deng of Rumbek says the objective of is to educate religious leaders on the peace deal to deliver correct information to the public.
He says another reason is to update them on the development of the implementation of the agreement signed last year.
Ambassador Augustino Njoroge, RJMEC interim Chairperson says there is a progress in the implementation of the agreement.
He urges South Sudanese citizens and political leaders to accommodate themselves.
The three-day workshop which starts on Tuesday is expected to end on Thursday.
