Everyone has right to practice hand washing with soap or ash, says officer

Western Lakes State on Friday joined the rest of the world to commemorate Global hand washing day at Rumbek Girls Primary School.
 
Plan International officer Martin Isaac Karkon says, both urban and village natives have great opportunity to exercise hand washing using soap or ash.
 
South Sudan Red Cross director for Rumbek branch Makur Mabor Tungthon advises the public to wash their hands with soap and water after visiting latrine. 
 
Mabor points out that washing hands reduces disease spread by 80%.
 
Meanwhile Rumbek Girls Primary School head teacher Samuel Makuech Mayom encourages the girls to keep hygiene in the school.
 
Makuech says it’s vital for girl to maintain good cleanliness always.
 
The officials were speaking to the crowd during the commemoration of the Global hand washing day at Rumbek Girl’s Primary School in Rumbek.
