Reconstituted JMEC urges parties to peace deal to agree on November 12

The Reconstituted Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission or R-JMEC urges the signatories to the revitalised agreement to agree on the unresolved issues especially the formation of the transitional government of national unity.
 
Lieutenant General Augostino Njoroge asks the parties to resolve the issue of the number and boundaries of the states without 
 
Member of the National Pre-Transitional Committee, Gabriel Changson Chang says the signatories have agreed to reduce the forces from 83,000 to 41,000.
 
He adds that the forces cantoned and barracked are more than fifty thousand.
 
Changson says the VIP guards are three thousand that are given the priority to be trained within a short period.
 
UNMISS Head, David Shearer says there is urgent need to resolve the remaining issues and the government must demonstrate strong leadership for the upcoming processes.
 
The officials were giving their remarks on Thursday on the R-JMEC plenary meeting 26 days before the formation of the government of national unity on November 12.
