The Governor of Western Lakes State Mahmoud Solomon Deer Agok has on Wednesday relieved education Minister Malith Mathiang Dhelbeny, leaving his position vacant.
The former Minister welcomes governor’s decision. He adds that government’s positions are not permanent.
Malith says he is still willing to work with governor Mamoud if he is given another opportunity.
In a note seen by Good News Radio, there was no reason specified for his dismissal.
Lakes state’s transitional constitution amended 2011 gives governors the power to relieve and appoint ministers.
This is the fourth time Governor Mahmoud is making changes in his government since he was appointed as a governor on 20 May 2019 by President Salva Kiir Mayardit.
