Civil society conducts roundtable discussion on 35% representation of women

Civil Society Organization in partnership with Community Empowerment for Progress Organization or CEPO on Wednesday conducted round table discussion on the role of women leaders to ensure that parties adhere to 35% power sharing as provided in the Revitalized Peace Agreement.
 
According to Voice of Hope Radio, deputy board of directors for Peace Friend Community Development, Kon Biama Kur, said the forum brought women from different political parties and civil society to understand the participation of female in the peace agreement.
 
Biama added that participants learned the content of the Revitalize Peace Agreement and their leadership position in the formation of Transitional Government of National Unity.
 
The participants encourage women to join political parties in order to reflect the 35% in the T-GoNU
 
They will create more awareness in their various communities about the structure and participation of women in the Revitalize Peace pact.
 
The officials made this remark to Voice of Hope Radio during the conclusion of the day round table discussion on the role of women political leaders in Wau.
