Catholic Archbishop of Juba Paolino Lukudu Loro says his administration and other congregations are facing difficulties in assigning priests, brothers and sisters to serve in remote areas.

He explains that some religious people now have mentalities of serving only in towns and refuse remote parishes.

Archbishop Lukudu says they are living in the tastelessness of the priestly zeal which is no more attracting others to the vocation.

The Metropolitan Archbishop of Juba advises priests, brothers and sisters that they are anointed to carry the cross with joy and pride among the poor people.

He tells the Catholic clergy to take their crosses and follow Jesus as instructed.

Fr Louis Tony Okot says people are called to put deep roots in serving people of God.

He says it is the responsibility of the religious leaders to work hard for the disadvantaged groups to feel the unconditional love of God.

The catholic leaders were talking during the centenary celebration of missionaries, religious, seminarians, daughters of Sacred Heart of Jesus and youth on Thursday at All Saints Parish, Rejaf.
