The disarmament process is going on well as people are willing to surrender their guns, Tonj State Minister of Information William Wol Mayom confirmed on Monday.
He told Don Bosco Radio that the peaceful disarmament in former Ananatak area has created good relationship with other counties.
Wol said the situation in Tonj East is quite normal after the government sent high delegation to approve the disarmament process on the ground.
Wol revealed that the disarmament forces managed to collect 501 rifles plus eight PKM and one hand grenade from civilians.
The minister appealed to people having guns to surrender them to reduce crimes in the county.
The official made the remarks on Monday in Tonj State.
