The Catholic Bishop of Yei Erkolano Lodu Tombe is appealing to everybody not to gain riches through robbing people’s property.
He stresses that it is important to be rich, but when it is in a good way, Radio Easter reports.
‘It is important to possess riches or have something if you earn it well without stealing or robbing from anybody. If it is stolen or robbed, it is a sin. It is a mistake. You should return to the person or place from which you stole from’, Bishop urges.
Bishop calls on citizens to help one another.
‘The Catholic Church is not against possession. God is not against possession. He is not against being rich. If you can earn and be rich and use our riches in service of God and people in our life, that is what God wants. Riches is good and should be used for the good of life, but also to be used for helping the poor’ Bishop Ladu adds.
Bishop Lodu was preaching on Sunday at Christ the King Cathedral in Yei.
