Respect and share their resources with the needy as brothers and sisters, Fr Taban David Assistant Parish Priest of Sts Peter and Paul Cathedral in the Catholic Diocese of Torit told Christians on Sunday.

He says money drives many people away from God and that it should used for helping the needy, Radio Emmanuel Radio reports.

‘When we go to our people in the communities we will find our mothers are working hard to support the family. The material things that God has given us, you must use them for the good of humanity especially the needy. The poor person will always pray for you, and money is good when it is use for the good of humanity’, he stresses.

The Catholic prelate advises the faithful to stop discriminating against people regardless of their tribes or race.

‘We are created in the image and likeness of God, we as preachers we don’t discriminate people on race on tribal basis. If God bless you today with resources, build up an orphanage for street children. It is very shameful to see that one of the organizations people used to come and beg, but they said there is no food, we don’t have food then at the end the food that they have in the store got rotten’, he says.

The Assistant Parish Priest was preaching to congregation during second Mass at Sts Peter and Paul Cathedral in Torit on Sunday.
