The Minister of Information in Yei River State Mawa A Moses is urging citizens of the area and South Sudan to start peace in their families and move to the other levels.

He explains that when men and women fight and insult each other in their families that means there is no peace.

Mawa mentions that every citizen has a responsibility to ensure that peace prevails at the family, Boma, Payam, County, State and the whole nation.

The minister encourages citizens to support the agreement to move forward to bring lasting peace in the country.

The peace belongs to the young people and they should do anything possible to ensure that it holds water, Mawa adds.

He appeals to those who still do not believe in the peace to join and be part of it.

The official was addressing the gathering during the celebration of the International Day of Peace on Saturday at Yei Freedom Square.
