Tonj state legislative assembly in on Tuesday approved changing Alabek to Lou County.
Speaker Mario Malok Lual told Don Bosco Radio the governor presented a letter from Alabek chiefs concerning the name.
He said the name of Lou County will unite the citizens as one community.
The speaker explained that in the letter, the name Alabek is chosen to be capital of the county as it was before.
He appreciated the local chiefs for the good decision that will unite the community as one family.
The official made the remarks in an inclusive interview to Don Bosco Radio in Tonj.
