Minister of Information in Tonj State William Wol Mayom Bol confirmed the attack on motorcyclist on Manyang-Ngok road between Maker-Padeek and AKuc-Chieng.
Don Bosco radio quoted the minister saying the attack let three people injured.
Wol explains that the armed youth hid in the bush after seeing a motor rider carrying a woman, stopped them at gunpoint and shot them.
He says the wounded people are in a critical condition.
Wol adds that the woman was shot on her thy and the rider on his back and that the other person was beaten on his head with stick, causing fracture.
The minister says the injured people can recognised the armed young men.
The victims are under medication attention in Tonj Civil hospital.
Wol promises that Tonj government will deploy soldiers between the borders of the neighbouring states to protect civilians.
Gok State Information Minister John Madol Panther denies that the suspects are from the area.
He says his administration contacted the commissioner of Malou-Peech, but is not aware of the incident.
He urges citizens of both sisterly states to stay in peace and know the relationship between Tonj and Gok.
