Authorities in Torit East County say a business vehicle carrying goods along Torit-Kapoeta road was robbed near River Hoss Bridge on Monday evening.
Torit East County Commissioner Toby Majak Thomas told Radio Emmanuel that a group of five armed robbers ambushed and beat the boy and took personal belongings including money.
Commissioner Majak says plans are underway to arrest the gunmen.
Some ambushes including killing along Torit-Kapoeta road have been reported since the beginning of the year.
The recent one was in August when a dead body was found near Idolu Bridge.
