The Minister of General Education in Tonj State Deng Madut Deng says 35 schools have started their mock exams on Monday.

Don Bosco Radio quoted him saying the exams began with Christian Religious Education in all centres.

Madut says the importance of giving pupils the exams is to test their ability on what they have learnt in the past eight years.

The minister mentions logistical challenges to reach to other counties with the exams papers in the state.

He discourages exams malpractices among the pupils.

A pupil of Don Bosco Primary School, Awut Manyang, says the paper they sat for was fair and she is hopeful of passing the subject.

She advises her colleagues to study hard in order to pass well the other subjects.
