The deputy governor of Nuba Mountains’ region Ali Kuku says SPLM-North is ready to sign peace deal with the Khartoum government.

Voice of Peace Radio quoted him telling the gathering at Holy Cross Parish Church in Kauda on Sunday that SPLM-N will soon enter into full peace negotiations with Khartoum if they meet their demands.

Kuku mentioned that the coming period will be the tough one because it will be time to prepare for general elections.

The deputy governor told people coming from abroad and different towns of the Sudan to understand the culture of Nuba people in the liberated areas.

Sudan’s Sovereign Council and armed opposition movements signed pre-negotiation principles in Juba last week.
