The Holy Cross Parish of Kauda in Nuba Mountains of the Catholic Diocese of El -Obeid celebrated the day of the Exaltation of the Cross on Sunday.
Speaking to the faithful during Eucharistic celebration, Parish Priest, Christopher Konga, described the day as a great feast for Christians as they witnessed how the people of Israel were afflicted with pain of suffering.
The priest added that the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross precisely celebrate the loving sacrifice of the Lord to save humanity from death.
He also mentioned that the cross of Christ is the center of Christian faith because Christ crucifixion.
At least twenty people received the Sacraments of Baptism and first Holy Communion during the celebration of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross Parish of Kauda on Sunday.
