The United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS in collaboration with the Ministry of Gender, Child and Social Development, conducted one day training on sexual exploitation to 37 participants in Rumbek.
Speaking on behalf of the UNMISS Head Field Officer, Gabriel Turay says the training aimed at empowering Community Based Centres to report sexual exploitation cases to concerned authorities.
He calls on UNMISS and other UN agencies to work hard to put an end to sexual exploitation in the country.
Director-General in the Ministry of Gender and Social Development, Gibriel Julla Allajabo encourages the community to report violent cases for earlier management.
One of the participants, Alawaia Enok Machiek explains that she has learnt a lot on sexual exploitation.
She adds that communal fighting in the state has contributed to sexual abuses against women.
