Commissioner of Manyang-ngok County of Tonj State, John Garang Mabior Atem on Monday handed over fifty heads of cattle raided from Brigadier Majak Kuol Agok after three months’ conflict.

He says he is implementing the promise he made to unite people as one citizens.

‘Today, I handover fifty cows to Brigadier Majakdit. His cattle was looted last May and I tried my best to return to Majakdit. The only remaining cows are just seven and I’m also trying to collect them back to Majakdit’, Garang promises.

Mabior says it is the priority of the government to bring peace among the community.

If peace prevails, the government has a chance to develop what the public needs, he adds.

The Commissioner says it is the duty of all commissioners to cooperate to normalize tension of the civilians.

‘The first tool of development is peace. I need to ask my community of Manyang-ngok County to make peace within themselves, with the neighbours, including Gok State. I need them to be good people. If peace comes in the area, we have a lot of resources to make development and anything that makes human being to live good life’ Garang appeals to his community.
