The Advisor to the Governor on Youth and Sports in Yei River Wani Tom Sebit is urging the young people of the state to avoid being used by politicians to gain their interest.
He mentions that some politicians mobilize youth to organize protest in order to achieve their gains, Radio Easter reports.
Wani asks the youth of Yei to completely reframe from such activities.
Economically youth need to be empowered especially in the education sector, Tom explains.
The advisor thanks the partners for supporting the young people in the state and urges the NGOs to give further support like counseling and advice.
The private sector plays great role that made many people very successful in life, he adds.
Wani encourages the citizens to embark on agriculture as it’s a pillar of the state.
The advisor spoke while addressing the gathering during the celebration of Youth Day at the Freedom Square in Yei on Monday.
